One of the most important parameters affecting the successful implementation of hydraulic fracturing in unconventional and low-permeability reservoirs is rock brittleness. Obviously, the definition of brittleness and the quantitative calculation of this parameter is still not clear. The paper provides an overview of methods for determining the brittleness index and selected the most effective of them for deposits of the paleogene system of the Central and Eastern Caucasia. AN INFLUENCE OF FACIES CONDITIONS AND CATAGENETIC PROCESSES ON THE POROPERM AND PETROELASTIC PROPERTIES OF THE LOWER VENDIAN TERRIGENOUS RESERVOIRS

On the example of the Yarakta horizon, which was formed in the conditions of an above-water Delta plain, it is shown that the lithological and primary poroperm properties of the reservoir change depending on their belonging to a particular facies zone. The subsequent deterioration of the poroperm properties of rocks is primarily a consequence of the halite crystallization in the poro space. Salinization does not lead to a change in the form of the poroperm dependence for facies groups, filtration characteristics decrease naturally with capacitive ones. The dependence of elastic parameters by well logging data and geological properties indicates the possibility of predicting reservoir properties based on seismic data.......

The article substantiates the advantages and possibilities of using a stochastic mathematical model in petrophysics. Based on the study of the distribution of reservoir rocks within the late stage of development, the article proposes models of three sedimentary objects, which include the morphology of isolated sand bodies, determined by seismic attributes, well logs facies, as well as the interpretation of sedimentary environments. INVERSE ROCK PHYSICS: PREDICTING POROSITY AND FLUID SATURATION OF THE VIKULOV FORMATION

We develop an inversion technique for predicting porosity and oil saturation using seismic data for clastic reservoirs of the Vikulov formation. The technique works in two stages. At the first stage, the parameters of the rock physics model are inverted. The input data are: petrophysical interpretation and well log measurements of P, S wave velocities and bulk density. At the second stage, the rock physics model with specified parameters is used to invert seismic attributes (acoustic impedance, shear impedance) into petrophysical properties: porosity and oil saturation.......
