Materials of 5th issue of the journal Geofizika are devoted to the 95th anniversary of Adam Konstantinovich Urupov (01.26.192310.15.2008) the founder of seismic scientific school in Perm krai and Perm State University, and one of the founders of the Russian school of the petroleum exploration seismologists, Doctor of geological-mineralogical Sciences, honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, honored Geologist of the RSFSR, honored Worker of the Ministry of Energy and Veteran of the World War II (1941-1945).

The results of gravimetric studies conducted to ensure the safe development of the Verkhnekamsk deposit of potassium salts are presented. At various stages of field exploitation, reinterpretation of archival gravimetric data is carried out, preceded by high-precision gravimetric surveys, monitoring observations. Gravimetric data reveal anomalies caused by density inhomogeneities of geological and technogenic nature, as well as dynamic anomalies -in the gravitational field, which indicates the processes occurring in worked-out thickness, zones that can be the cause of emergencies constant monitoring and increased attention of the mining service.......

The results of modeling the influence of mining parameters on seismic activity are presented in the article. There are few factors influencing on induced seismicity significantly. The retrospective analysis of the registered and calculated seismicity was performed. This analysis showed prediction abilities of the selected model and the next steps of its improvement have been defined.......

Research on the rationale for selecting model constructed according to the acoustic logging for the seismic CDP survey forward solution on the Verkhnekamskoye salt deposit is presented in the article. The solution of the direct problem is carried out for models with different reservoir thicknesses. Finite difference is a tool for solving a direct problem. Simulation based on the elastic wave equation is the most complete research tool, creating the closest approximation to the real conditions of a solid medium, including exchange effects and shear waves. The obtained synthetic seismograms were compared with the actual field records typical for the VKMS.......
