Modern state of hydrocarbon reserves development demand for the significant increase in resolution and accuracy of productive layers seismic studies to successfully deal with complicated reservoirs and residual deposits. Resolution, specific features and limitations of VSP, well logging and seismic are analyzed. It is proposed to combine the advantages of VSP and seismic techniques with 3D acquisition geometry (3D+VSP). Detailed Geological Parameters Accessment by High-Resolution Seismic

The sequence of preliminaryprocessing steps properly defined and processing software modules properly selected in combination with High Resolutoin Seismic technology (HRS-Geo) is a secure way to detect low-contrast acoustic inhomogeneities in the subsurface. The seismic dynamic problem solution based on seismic inversion, developed and offered by CGE, is a key approach to detecting weak seismic signals recorded in complex geologic conditions. The paper gives results of an integrated analysis to which seismic data, both surface and downhole, from one of the areas in the Volga-Ural province, were processed and interpreted using this new approach, were subjected aiming to bring out details of the interna! structure of the sedimentary cover and top part of the crystalline basement. Representative geological geophysical parameters, the most significant for prospecting and exploration of commercially hydrocarbon and predicted from the study, have been obtained......

Prospects of Optimal High-Resolution Seismic Exploration Planning

Application of High Resolution Seismic (HRS-Geo) technology and the availability of relatively large number of exploratory wells made it possible to predict geological and geophysical characteristics additional geological information on lithology, reservoir properties and reservoir rock fluid saturation derived from seismic data permitted enhancement of this effectiveness. The above data were used to facilitate optimal distribution of geological exploration in the area. In particular, optimal sites were selected to drill deep exploratory wells aiming to penetrate potential hydrocarbon prospects of lithological and structural/lithological traps; analysis was make to define possible extension of the license area; recommendations were provided on implementing geotechnical measures and further development of hydrocarbons. While testing the prospects, data were obtained confirming the predictions made.......
