Statistical Analysis of Geological and Geophysical Data While Gold-Carrying Ores Forecasting. The Yenissey Ridge Field Study

Paper covers the question of modern approaches of statistic analysis of geological and geophysical data for the purposes offorecasting new gold ore zones in the area of Eniseisky Ridge. The work is based on geological maps of different scales, magnetic anomaly maps and the Bouguer anomaly maps with excess-mass adjustment with density 2,76 g/cm , other regional geophysical data and results of geological and geochemical investigations. Genetic relationships between the gold ore fields of Eniseisky Ridge and spatial position of Sukhopitski series, Tatrsk-Ayakhtinsky granitoid massifs andfault zones are confirmed by statistic estimations. Statistic analysis resulted in delineation of the area prospective for large gold ore fields prospecting.......

Radiowave Monitoring of Downhole Leaching in Uranium Fields

Efficiency of the uranium development by means of subsurface leaching technique considerably depends on completeness of an oxidant spreading over ore bearing bed. The oxidant circulates through a pay bed by means of a system of injection and pumping wells. Due to its low resistivity it considerably changes electrical properties of bearing formations providing a precondition for using electromagnetic methods for monitoring of the oxidant spreading. Low coverage range of routine logging doesn’t allow to obtain a reliable information about the oxidant spreading in an interwell space. Since polyethylene casing of wells doesn’t shield the electromagnetic waves, a favorable environment is created for solving the problem by means of radiowave tomography. Until recently the very low resistivity of producing horizon prevented obtaining the necessary crosswell coverage and was considered to be the main barrier for applying this technique on the uranium ore fields. OOO “Radionda” has developed a radio wave geointroscopy technique (RWGI) based on application of a new borehole tool, 3D processing procedure and geoelectrical mapping technology, that provided necessary crosswell coverage and sufficient resolution. The paper presents the results of experimental application of RWGI technology for monitoring of oxidant spreading in uranium ore fields with the very low resistivity environment. A physical base of the technique, procedure of measuring and processing, as well as field application are discussed.......

The Use of Magnetometry while Bronze Age Archeological Artefact Studies in Southern Urals

In this paper the results of detailed magnetic survey of the fortified settlement of the Bronze Age, Olgino (Kamenny Ambar) are presented. A qualitative and quantitative interpretations of magnetic anomalies witbin the settlement were fulfilled, which resulted in delineation the individual elements of the fortifications and outbuildings. Computerized Georadar Data Processing

Authors consider the way of approximate solution of the inversion task for continuous georadar profding. The back-scattered electromagnetic field is used to obtain the section of electrical and physical subsoil properties. Method of stable solution is based on building non-linear spatial filters that are applied to number set of subsurface permittivity (or electromagnetic waves velocity). The suggested approach allows building an electronic system of georadar data processing that works efficiently in the complex diffusing medium.......
