Construction of algorithms for wavefield extrapolation in complex media

The conventional seismic data processing methods are applied and usually provide reliable results in case of rather simple media. If the seismogeological conditions are complex, their efficiency can substantially reduce. This requires application of more flexible schemes that provide adequacy for a broader class of models. Particularly, if the known assumptions are violated, the ray-theoretical-based algorithms become incorrect. Alternative methods for wavefield computation and seismic data processing are to be applied to overcome the problem.......

About the influence of the criteria of optimality on the solutions of electrodynamics reverse problems for the media with distributed parameters

We consider the solution of inverse problems of electrodynamics in a complexly environments, characterized by a spatially distributed parameters electrical conductivity of the medium. The equivalence effects and latent equivalence effects are broadly evident in these problems. For their compensation is proposed to use an approach based on acceptance criteria for the selection decision on the principle of optimality. Is analyzed the influence of the criteria of optimality on the solutions of reverse problems using imposed extreme classes. We introduce the class of the balancing criteria for compensating the specific analytical properties, characteristic for the gradient methods. The results of simulation, which demonstrate the special feature of developed approach, are represented and discussed based on the example of solution of inverse problem.......

Hybrid ProbabilisticDeterministic Methods of the Solution of Linear Inverse Problems of Gravimetry and Magnetometry

We suggest a new method of solution of linear inverse problems of gravimetry and magnetometry based on combination offunctionally-analytical and probabilistic-statistical approaches to interpreting of geophysical data. The suppression of intensive alternating-sign noises having the non-normal distributive law and estimated accuracy ofresulting physical parameters are distinctive features of the method. Advantages of suggested algorithm are proved by serial calculations realized for different models offield sources and various types of noises, and so the solution of the practical problem.......

Dependence of dielectrical properties of the two-component medium on the structure and composition

The results ofphysical modeling on samples of a disperse and layered structure are shown. The results of AMT-MVZ electrical survey in Patomsky Vent

The Patomsky crater located in the difficult to access part of Baikal-Patomsky upland (east of Irkutsk region) is attracting attention of geologists and geophysicists since it hasbeen discovered in 40th years of previous century. According to the results ofprevious investigations, several hypotheses of this unusual structure have been advanced. The impacts, endogenous and number of other models were considered, but no one of them was sufficiently proved. The new attempt to shed the light on origin of this geological object was made in August, 2010 by joint geological and geophysical expedition, which included experts from Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Irkutsk. The AMT and MT electromagnetic methods played the leading role in investigations. The preliminary results of these electromagnetic surveys are considered in this article.......
