OBJECT-ORIENTED SEISMOGEOLOGICAL ANALYSIS AS A NEW APPROACH TO SEISMIC DATA INTERPRETATION

The method of object-oriented approach of seismic data interpretation was formed in the process of finding solutions for increasingly complex problems of oil and gas fields study. Organization of seismogeological monitoring for placement of production and exploration wells on the basis of conceptual models, interactive feedback with drilling data allowed to make sure that even minor variations of the wave field, initially taken for interference, can carry geological information. Object-oriented seismogeological analysis implies not only a detailed correlation, but also a further geological interpretation, reconstruction of the sedimentation environment, search for modern analogues, typification and systematization of seismic images, etc. Ehe article demonstrates an example of object-oriented interpretation on the materials of the Priobskoye field.......

Delineation of lithologic trap methodology of fluvial deposits of the layer AS has been considered on the example in Upper Salym oilfield. This method has been applied to analog layer АV of Vyngapur oilfield to delineate a lithologic trap had formed in similar condition. The job has been done based on 3D seismic and geological model. There has been used sedimentological, core and log interpretation while complexing. As a result there has been estimated thickness of prospect objects based on meandering channels by seismic data.......

A METHOD FOR ESTIMATING WAVE FIELD DOMINANT FREQUENCY CHANGES ALONG THE SEISMIC TRACE

The article proposes a method for estimating the dominant frequency of the wave field along the seismic trace, based on the spectral inversion method. The proposed algorithm estimates the dominant frequency by approximation of the seismic trace via wavelets from a given dictionary. The described study conducted to determine the basic requirements for the formation of a dictionary, as well as to assess the sensitivity and stability of the proposed algorithm under conditions of different values of the contrast of the dominant frequency and the level of additive random noise. The practical value of the proposed approach is to obtain additional characteristics of the observed wave field for the purpose of geological interpretation of seismic data. Among the key factors influencing the changes in the dominant frequency value are: the absorbing characteristic of the medium, depending on the structure of the object under study, the interference effects that lead to a change in the frequency of the sum impulse, and the effect of fracturing. As a result of the research, practical recommendations for the implementation of the proposed algorithm are given.......
