Polar transformation of gravitational potential derivatives

The paper proposes to treat a gravitational vectors crossing point as a unit for informal gravity field interpretation. The basis of the method, called polar transformation, is the geometrical property of attractive potential full gradient vectors to point to the positive anomalies sources, and backwards for the negative anomalies sources. The set of such «positive» and «negative»points of vectors crossing, called «poles», allows to create a pattern of gravitational anomalies sources distribution. The higher potential derivatives allow better source separation. Such a clusters of crossing-points of some potential’s gradients vectors could be used for indirect gravity problem solution. Some model and practical examples in developed program Polus are given.......

Geoelectric Measurements as a Contributing Factor in the Study of Ore-Bearing Structures in Primorye

The paper shows an important role of electrical-prospecting techniques for studying ore-bearing structures in Primorye. A geoelectric model of the major ore districts of Primorye has been built as a basis for developing electrical-prospecting techniques and adopting a new approach to electric data interpretation. Examples of effective use of electrical-prospecting techniques for studying ore-bearing bodies are provided. The need to continue work and to perfect electrical-prospecting techniques on the basis of the gained research and production potential is demonstrated.......

Comparison of the tidal variations of gravity and the vertical component of seismograph

Communication of measurements gravity meter and a vertical component of a seismograph is considered. Difference of records gravity meter and a seismograph speaks distinction of frequency characteristics of devices. Deep conductivity anomalies in northern part of Voronezh anteclise

Two crustal anomalies of low resistivity, «Kirovograd-Baryatino» and «Kursk», were revealed and delineated on the north-western slope of Voronezh crystalline massif as a result of magnetotelluric (MT) soundings. Two-dimensional bimodal inversion of MT data was performed, and cross-sections along two profiles until 50 km depth were constructed. MT results were compared with potential field data.......
