At the level of the modern study of the Russian Federation by seismic exploration there are still gigantic poorly studied territories such as Taimyr which still remains the least explored region of Russia in regard to geology. Solving the problems of zoning with traditional methods requires huge financial investments and, along with this, considerable time. After heterogeneous priori G&G data are converted to a predicted 3D seismic wave field we have succeeded to discover vast opportunities to identify and oil- and-gas bearing features both earlier known in oil and gas-bearing area and new which have been not revealed and researched yet.......

Currently, the quantity and quality of the information for rock-fracture zones in Russia is very scarce even for the fields in development. Implementing the methods of acoustic well-logging and electric scanning during logging in prospecting wells allows evaluating rock-fracture zones, revealing the main regularities of its development. The information acquired using special logging methods is of vital importance for porosity and permeability properties update, prediction and calculation of oil reserves, development of deposits with maximum possible oil recovery efficiency, risk mitigation with regard to missing prospecting permeable intervals.......

About oil-gas-geological zoning of West Siberia

Multiple examples of the work demonstrate non-uniqueness of the Western Siberia oil and gas bearing province geological oil and gas zonation when designating the border of the entire province and separate oil and gas bearing regions. It is shown that the surveyors estimate the area of the oil and gas bearing lands in the province with significant discrepancies: from 2,2 to 3,6 million square kilometers. The causes of discrepancies in the estimation of the Western Siberia oil and gas bearing lands are analyzed. The main groups of factors and criteria controlling generation, migration and accumulation of hydrocarbons are established. It is determined that priority of non-tectonic control can be observed at the Western Siberia oil and gas bearing province geological oil and gas zonation with prevailing factors being the specific structure of the geological section and the established oil and gas bearing capacity. A brief specification of the Western Siberia oil and gas bearing province plays is given. Further directions of research into the Western Siberia oil and gas bearing province geological oil and gas zonation are indicated.......

Prospects of the Neocomian deposits in the Urals partof the West Siberia

Despite the fact that many aspects of the West Siberian petroliferous basin are studied in detail, some critical issues concerning its structure and oil and gas potential are still being discussed. One of such pending issues is the prospects of the Neocomian clinoform bodies of the Urals part of the West Siberia. This paper contains the results of long-term researches into the prospects of oil and gas potential of the Neocomian deposit sand formations that are well-developed in the north-western part of the Shaimsky petroleum producing area. The article presents the forecast of hydrocarbon traps development in the Kharosoimskaya suite deposits based on paleogeomorphic and dynamic analyses and the basin simulation tool.......
