About shallow 3D seismic prospects for Upper Kama potash deposit

Three-dimensional seismic researches are usual for oil deposit investigations. High-detailed results give possibilities to different oil geological decision impossible with using 2D seismic data. In spite of this 3D seismic researches necessity for shallow depths is not rule. Comparison of the 3D and 2D results received for one part of Upper Kama potash deposit was presented. Methodical recommendations of 2D and 3D complex in different cases were formed.......

Parameterization of the model, describing the influence of various factors on the seismicity potash mines

This article describes the Verkhnekamskoe potash deposit, seismological observation in potash mines and main features of registered seismicity. The mathematical model, describing influence of induced and natural factors on seismic activity in potash mines is recommended in the article. The model parameters are evaluated from current seismic observation in mines for different factors: waves from teleseismic sources, blast activity in mine and age of openings.......

Using Radon Transform for Wave Selection in acoustic logging

This paper considers the method of wavefield separation by a linear Radon transform applied to acoustic logging data. The applicability of the filtered back projection concept for the extraction of the wave with the specified slowness is discussed. Results of processing real data sets from 8 and 16 channel devices are presented.......

Numerical simulation of logging-while-drilling multipole acoustic propagation

Modeling the deformation of drill pipe and wave propagation excited by mono-, di - and quadrupole sources in the logging while drilling was made by using software ANSYS. The model consists of a large steel pipe immersed either in an infinite fluid, either in well with fluid. Instead of the perfect ring source, commonly used in modeling of wave fields in the presence of a pipe, used finite size piezoelectric transmitter. It is shown that the best results for logging while drilling gives the quadrupole source, which wave has a cut-off frequency: below this border is initiated only quadrupole wave in the formation; acoustic vibration of the drill pipe occurs only near the source, but does not extend along it.......
