Eikonal solvers’ based two-point ray tracing algorithm

This paper presents two-point ray tracing algorithm in anisotropic medias and in medias containing salt intrusions. The main peculiarity of this approach is use of finite difference solutions for Eikonal equation. In comparison well-known approaches, called shooting type methods and bending type methods, proposed algorithm is more stable and computationally cheaper in the complex medium. This approach is extremely effective as two point ray tracing method for specific acquisition geometries widely used for 3D. Time of computations does not depend on the complexity of a model. We present numerical results in anisotropic Gullfaks model and in well known Sigsbee2a model that contains salt body with very rough interface. The experiments demonstrate the approach provides stable two point ray tracing algorithm for a medium with complex geology in a presence of anisotropy and salt intrusions.......

Wavelet and windowed Fourier analysis of the seismic field

The method of data processing and analysis of seismic fields (2D and 3D time diagram) is proposed. Proposed method uses wavelet analysis and window Fourier analysis. The important behavior of wavelet analysis is amplification of signal local feature and attenuation of its regular composition. The window Fourier analysis of wavelet spectrogram and selection of signal frequency range by means offuzzy function allow to locate signal anomaly. Proposed method efficiency approved by means of real seismic data, which were collected in Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous area.......

Features of the calculation and input of static corrections for the effect of low-velocity zone on the works of CDP

Based on the available seismic data proves the high efficiency and uniqueness of the accounting ZLV on production CMP, using the method of OGP refraction wave. That allows you to use the entire array of data wave traceable to the first arrivals. Applying this approach allows the lead to the same level, the various seismic data. Reprocessing of archive data and interfacing materials of past years becomes unequivocal. It is noted that the algorithm to incorporate the influence of ZMS on production work is stable for practical use, as evidenced by using it for 10 years in various seismogeological conditions, using materials such as previous low multiplicity obtained with non-explosive (Vibroseis) and explosive sources.......

Classification of non-anticlinal traps discovered by seismic survey and their perspectivity in Yevlakh-aghjabedy depression of Azerbaiyan

In the article it is stated results of seismic survey conducted with aim of non-anticline traps exploration in Yevlakh-Aghjabedy depression and where discovered pinch out mesozoic sediments zones, with favorable geological condition forformation of that type traps. As a result of conducted works it is constructed geological models by predicted non-anticline traps type is studied lithological composition, stratigraphical position and perspectives of sediments formed these traps. It is devoloped geological-geophysical complex criterions. With these criterions it is established level perspectives of predicted non-anticline traps.......
