GEOPHYSICAL MONITORING THE TECHNICAL CONDITION OF THE LINING OPERATING HORIZONTAL WELLS

(Shumilov A.V. )

The article describes the technologies developed for the study of horizontal wells. The first group of technologies is associ- ated with a complex of geophysical (acoustic, radioactive, electromagnetic) methods of monitoring the technical condition of the well, the interpretation of which is implemented in the “Sonata” system. The second group of technologies is technological complexes for conducting research in directional and horizontal wells. The group includes a complex for the delivery of geophysical instruments and a complex for monitoring fluid parameters in oil wells. Examples of successful application of these groups of technologies in geophysical operations in the Perm region are given.......

CONSTRUCTION OF SEISMIC VELOCITY MODEL USING ELECTROMAGNETIC DATA ON PERMAFROST LAYER

(Kaplan S.A. Sokolova E.Yu. Yakovlev D.V. Klokova V.P. Shpektorov A.L. Slinchuk G.E. )

Permafrost rocks, which cover about 60% of the territory of Russia, differ in their physical properties from thawed counterparts. Seismic velocities and electrical resistivity increase significantly in frozen rock. When building models of the depth distribution of seismic velocities, special consideration is needed for the distortions introduced by high-speed permafrost strata, which are also characterized by lateral heterogeneity (taliks) and variable thickness. Geoelectrical sections constructed along the lines of seismic profiles allow us to determine the variations in thickness of the permafrost layer. In addition, basing on known (regional, literary and well-logging data) and newly established correlation dependences between resistance and seismic velocities, it is possible to determine the initial velocities of the highest, unresolved, horizons for their usage in seismic modeling and inversion. The geophysical data obtained in the Eastern part of the Yenisei-Khatanga regional trough, located in the center of Taimyr peninsula, served as a ground material for elaboration of the methodology of the electrical exploration data on the structure of the permafrost implementation for the seismic exploration section construction. Regional geophysical work is currently being carried out in this area in order to identify oil and gas prospective zones.......

A NEW APPROACH TO IMAGING AND ANALYSIS OF SEISMIC REFLECTION AND WELL DATA FOR PREDICTION OF FRACTURED AREAS

(Ptetsov S.N. Voronovicheva E.M. Litvyakova O.O. )

In this paper the authors are presenting the new approach for predicting fractured areas using seismic data together with well log information (sonic and micro imagers). Proposed approach was successfully applied on several discoveries in Timano-Pechora province. Recently drilled wells confirmed presence of the predicted fractured areas.......

ALGORITHM OF 3D REFLECTION TOMOGRAPHY FOR BUILDING AN INITIAL VELOCITY MODEL FOR MIGRATION VELOCITY ANALYSIS

(Protasov M.I. Gadyl’shin K.G. Necklyudov D.A. Isakov N.G. )

In this paper we propose an algorithm for 3D reflection tomography for constructing initial depth velocity models for migration velocity analysis. It is based on the use of the results of time processing, namely, standard velocity analysis and pre-stack time migration. The real data example shows its effectiveness.......
